Founder & Attorney
Cori is a graduate of the University of Florida and earned her law degree from Florida State University College of Law with honors in 2011. During law school, she advocated for clients in the Family Law Clinic, served as President of Public Interest Law Student’s Association, competed on the Mock Trial Team, served as a legislative intern, and was selected as a Florida Bar Foundation Summer Fellow. After law school, she worked as a Graduate Fellow for FSU’s Children in Prison Project where she advocated on behalf of juvenile offenders who were charged and treated as adults in the Florida prison system.
In 2014, she and her husband moved to Pensacola where she worked as an Assistant Public Defender for nearly five years. During her time as an APD, she defended hundreds of clients charged with misdemeanor and felony offenses and took over twenty-five cases to trial.
After advocating for children facing juvenile delinquency charges, she quickly recognized the systemic injustices youth and their families face when they become entangled in the legal system. Cori saw a need for comprehensive and holistic representation for youth who are struggling, and founded what is now known as Pensacola Youth Advocacy Project.
